The Quinte area has been ranked the number one place to live in the Province of Ontario by the Ontario Social Development Council.

Located along the shores of the beautiful Bay of Quinte and the mighty Moira River, the “Friendly City”
offers a wealth of activities for young and old alike.  Belleville is one of Ontario’s premiere cold water
fishing resources and we offer world renowned sports fishing year-round, and play host to a number of
fishing tournaments.  In summer, baseball and soccer reign supreme, along with sports like yachting
and rowing.  Belleville winters offer an array of activities including hockey, skating, ice-sailing and ice-
fishing to name a few.  Children will enjoy playing at Zwick’s Park or the Pirate Ship Park at
North
Riverside as well as the Skate Board Park.  Enjoy a walk, run or in-line skate along more than 13km of beautiful waterfront trails.  Belleville’s waterfront is a bustling place from spring to late fall, with boats
cruising in from around the world, and local residents docking their boats for the season.  The waterfront serves as a focal point for a variety of regattas, fishing
tournaments, festivals and celebrations.  Belleville
is home to the OHL Champion Belleville Bulls, Quinte Curling Club, bowling facilities and other family-
oriented recreational programs.  Belleville’s YMCA offers an indoor pool and a full range of facilities and programs, as do other private health clubs.

Pirate Ship Park @ Riverside Park   You will find 36 ball diamonds, 7 mini-pitch soccer fields, and 7
regulation-size soccer fields within the City. With the construction
of Belleville’s new multiplex facility underway with a completion date

Hockey League size ice pads, dressing rooms, storage for equipment,
food service facilities, a multi-purpose recreation room, fitness centre,
indoor track, and an aquatic facility with a 25 metre pool and community
   space.

Belleville offers elegant living in rural and urban settings, only moments from work, at affordable prices.
From large, single family homes to condominium apartments, duplexes and townhouses, Belleville has
affordable housing in every possible architectural style and price range. The average purchase price for
a home in the region is approximately $207,000.  Recreational properties (cottage areas) on in-land lakes
and Lake Ontario are within an hour’s drive of our beautiful city.  The Quinte Area Real Estate Board
