• conduct research and inventory the City’s architectural legacy and history with a view to identifying buildings and sites of importance
• recommend to City Council buildings and/or sites that should be designated pursuant to the Ontario Heritage Act; and
• provide advice to City Council with respect to applications or requests to alter designated elements on buildings that have been so designated by Council pursuant to the Heritage Act.
