Belleville Ward Residents:

White goods and large metal items are prohibited from regular weekly garbage collection. Arrangements can be made at City Hall to have Public Works' employees pick up these items from your curb. The cost for collection and disposal are:

• Freon items (refrigerators, freezers, air conditioners, dehumidifiers)
• Non-freon items (stoves, washers, dryers, dishwashers, microwaves, humidifiers, barbecues)

Thurlow Ward Residents:

White goods (appliances) can be disposed of at the Thurlow Landfill Site on Mudcat Road. The charge is $10.00 per appliance, however, an additional $15.00 charge will apply for items containing freon, if they have not been tagged by a certified person to be empty of the refrigerant.
