The City of Belleville has several by-laws that regulate and control animals. Although
some basic information is provided below, you should contact us for specific information
relating to the keeping of any animal.
Kennel/Dog Licensing :
All dogs within the City of Belleville shall be licensed with the exception of a properly
certified guide dog.

| The license fee for dogs registered in accordance with the terms of By-law 99-82 after September 30th shall be fifty (50) percent of the fees specified above. |

Special Provisions

1. Veterinarian's Certificate is necessary to certify that dogs have been spayed or neutered and immunized.
