Function
The Fire Department is responsible for firefighting, investigation, inspection and prevention services for the City of Belleville and for enforcing statutory policies and regulations as they relate to the Municipality. It is a Composite Department of 103 personnel, providing both urban and rural services from four stations:
- 72 Moira Street West, Station #1
- 316 Dundas Street East, Station #2
- 658 Point Anne Road, Point Anne Station (#3)
- 516 Harmony Road Corbyville Station (#4)
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- fire prevention and education services and programs
- inquiries
- fire code enforcement
- life safety inspections
- fire engineering plans review
- fire suppression
- rescue services
- emergency defibrillation and medical assist services
- fire investigations
