Environment Canada Has Issued a Special Weather Statement for Belleville and Area.


A cold snap is expected today through Saturday.

A bitterly cold northwesterly flow will develop over southern Ontario today. Extreme cold warning criteria of minus 30 is expected to be met in many places tonight into Friday and again Friday night into Saturday.

The cold snap will end by Sunday as a southwesterly flow develops.

The Canadian Mental Health Association will operate a warm room Thursday, Friday and Saturday, January 4th, 5th and 6th from 8:00 p.m. – 8:30 a.m. at 41 Octavia Street for anyone in need.

The Canadian Mental Health Association will provide After-hours Homeless Emergency Services for Hastings County.  If you are homeless and require help with shelter please call;

The Salvation Army will operate a warm room from 6:00- pm – 8:30 pm at 295 Pinnacle Street, and will provide a free hot meal.
