Fires, Floods and Railway Trains: Plaque Program Brings History Alive Downtown
History is always with us but sometimes we have to be reminded of our rich legacy. The Hastings County Historical Society is pleased to announce a new program to bring history alive.
This summer the Society will be unveiling five new plaques in downtown Belleville to bring the historical record of this city to the forefront for visitors and residents alike. The first will be unveiled on June 14 at the old Fire Station No. 2 at 394 Front Street. City officials have been invited to the event.
